Defenses are a feature in Skydome.
Get tactical with a large number of defense mechanisms at your disposal, customize the battlefield and make it your own. Build walls, place different towers onto them and destroy the enemy troops!
Walls
Walls are basic constructions in Skydome. They are used to cover the area from the Spawn Gates to the Artifact and make it more difficult for enemy troops to proceed by prolonging their path. Each player has 35 walls to build around the map within the building area (which can be seen by pressing the SPACE button). The more peculiar a maze of walls is, the harder it is for the troops to advance and the more effective the defense is. The only rule is that the maze must have an entrance and an exit. However, the walls have health points (check the table below) and can be destroyed by opponents using Ballista, Encounters, Encounter tokens or Champions' Intervention Skill. Bosses attack walls as well. Each wall segment costs a specific number of Glory Points to build (check the table below). Players can also customize their walls by purchasing different skins.

Towers
Towers are special constructions that are used to help players defend their Artifact against enemy troops coming in waves. The towers can be placed on walls built by any team member. Each player has 8 towers per match, the number of identical towers is not limited. Skydome provides a variety of towers to choose from, and each of them has its own purpose.
Types of the towers
Basic Shooting tower
This tower is the first one a player can place right after the beginning of a match. All 8 towers a player is able to build start with this one and can be later upgraded to a different type. The Basic tower has no special attacks except for shooting the enemies.

Plague Tower
Plague Tower, also known as 'the Slowing Shooting Tower', or 'the purple tower', creates an area around it that slows the enemies inside it. It can be used against all types of enemies including the flying units. The effect of this tower does not stack.

Arcane Tower
Arcane Tower, also known as 'Continuous Shooting Tower', or 'the fire tower', or 'the red tower', deals continuous and progressive fire damage to a single enemy. This tower is the most expensive to upgrade, however it is considered helpful against Bosses. It takes time to reach the maximum damage and cannot attack flying units.

Sharpshooter
Sharpshooter, also known as 'the shooting tower', or 'the yellow tower', shoots long-range projectiles that deal a huge amount of damage to all foes. It is mainly used by players to attack flying units.

Bombard Tower
Bombard Tower, also known as 'Splash Shooting Tower', or 'the blue tower', throws a bomb in areas within range 8.5 that explodes dealing damage to all nearby enemies. This tower can be used against all kinds of troops by dealing the most damage, however unable to attack flying units.
